I installed deuce risers a couple weeks ago and improved my position on the bike, but didn't like the way my throttle wouldn't return on its own with the cable re-routed. I just received my Motion-Pro 2 inch extended cables and I guess what I'm asking is- is there any trick or anything I should know ahead of time involved in installing them? Just trying to save myself any unforseen problems. Thanks for the read.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

Lay the bars on the tank and do them ends first. Hook them up under the tank and then put bars back on. Pretty simple.

To get them around the wheel they hook to on the carb end, I cut a piece of stiff wire maybe 6" long and make a small hook in the end. Then with a pair of longer needle nose in conjunction with it, you can hook the end of the cable and draw it around the groove it sits in. Line up the lead button on the end of it with the hole, press on it a bit to hold it while drawing the cable up and out just enough to get it into the slot it sits in. Do the back one first or you'll forget everything you learned in Sunday School. I've had those off/on in just a couple minutes.

Another way to do them is loosen bars and move them
to your left.
That will give you slack, making sure to tighten them
to keep them off tank[Also put towel or blanket on tank]
Then do bar end then lower end.
