Dalai had graciously offered to do my rear tire install tomorrow and I was going to bring up the new rear wheel and the chrome bag rails in my bustec turbo +2 trailer
Well today I put air in the tires, ok
went to put air in the suspension and the system will not take the air?  I have a new progressive pump and also took a few seconds on my portable compressor as a test

Drats   that would mean I wouldnt be able to bring up any goodies and would have the bungie the car tire to the seat on the way home....in the rain  60% chance and I hear the detn8r is facing north tomorrow Wink so maybe closer to 100% whenever I am riding on a brand new cobra on the superhighway

Anyone have a bushtec and care to share how to get the suspension to take the air.  When you look at the trailer from the back the bottom of the tires are outside of the top, I am pretty sure that means no air in the system

Thanks  OSS

which proves once again that every problem may be solved by the applcation of some common sense and a cold beverage

I had forgot when I went to bustec in 06 for the tongue rebuild that John rerouted my air hose from inside the trailer to just under the coupler   I was lookin at that inside line and trying to figure where in the sam hill the air hose went when it finally hit me

I am now cleaning the rust off the chrome rails and will bring all the goodies to dalai lama's tomorrow god willing and the rain stays away

SO now everyone please enjoy a cold beverage and laugh at another ossism

oss, don't that just pess ya off something terrible?

I had a Bushtec and one year I worked on the suspension during the winter.  I had the valve core out while I was doing it.

Told my grandson to go out and pump the trailer up.  He got the handy little pump out, hooked it on and went to pumping.  He'd get it up and go to take the pump off and she'd fall down again.   After the 3rd try he came to the house and said, Grandpa, something is wrong, it won't hold air.   That was when it donned on me what I had done.   Went and got him a valve core, let him put it in and go for it again.  Presto, it worked.

Yupper, he wasn't too happy with this old man for a couple of hours....
