Nice pic's, looked like a good ride and the weather held up through Zion.  cooldude

Seems like its been a 50/50 chance of rain each time I venture through there.

Thanks for posting!

Great pics Mike.  The rain was chasin us when we were up in Utah several years ago.  Our images did not turn out as nice as your's. Maybe because we were shivering from the cool rain.

A thirty second break in the clouds netted this shot.

Of course I had the camera set for clouds and in the sunshine the rocks are just a bit washed out. See that goat wandering around in the bottom?

Excellent shots! Thanks for sharing. Some grand country you live in, awsome scenery, fantastic riding places, I can see why you need the Valkyrie, just to get around in it.

Mike, old buddy I'd love to take a ride like that with you some day....before I get old and gnarly. Until then, I'll just have to take that trip through your pictures. Glad you posted them, that's one area I've not visited.

 cooldude cooldude

Great ride report, thanks.  Mt. Zion is a favorite of mine.  Was there a few years back driving in to stay in a cabin there in a torrential downpour.  Still some rain the next morning, but waterfalls everywhere.  Hiked up to top of Angel's Landing and by the time we came down rain had stopped and waterfalls gone.

Here is pic going up Angel's Landing in rain.  There is a cable you hold on to the last mile or so and I was gripping it like there was no tomorrow.  Some teenagers running by not holding on with 2000' drop straight down.  Scary.   Shocked

By the by, if anyone's in the proximity of Phoenix,Az, I'll be heading over to the weekly bike week at Westgate tonite! Also, check the Az. board for the breakfast ride this Saturday!!

I remember being a teenager, and us running (all the way?) down from Table Rock... not the same,
but just sayin' ... teenagers... sheesh...

I ran that through Photoshop, but Picasa has a pretty darn good photo fixer.  I use that for a lot of family photos.  Plus, back your photos up online so you don't loose them to a hard drive failure.
