60 miles West of Chicago!

Didn't take as many pictures as I usually do so here goes ...

My buddy Lee & I left Illinois on early Wednesday morning

At one point it looked like it might rain ... that or Lee is showing me his Smurf costume for Halloween

On Thursday we were going to ride US127 from Frankfort down to I40 and then over to The Worlds Largest Tree House but the rain forced us to change our plans ... nothing like sitting in a unfinished car wash waiting for the sun

We got to Clinton, TN early afternoon, had dinner with Joe and then Friday morning met some of the Wild Bunch at the Hardee's next door

And off we went on a ride through the Tennessee country side to Telico Plains to meet up with more riders

Next stop ... the top of the skyway

And although a lot of the leaves on top had fallen ... the view was still excellant

Saturday morning came around and it was time to meet at the gas station for the big group ride!

I wish I had some pictures from the group ride but alas I do not. There was some mis-communication about the route and Binky, Coot and I took off thinking we knew that the group was just ahead of us only to discover we were wrong. Two-Tone (Robert) volunteered to go back and find us and then he disappeared. The main group moved on, the 3 man group kept chasing them in the wrong direction and Robert was still looking for the 3 man group. Some how, everyone came together at the Buffet Restuarant in Blairsville. But after lunch everyone went their own way ... because no matter what road you take it is going to be a GREAT ride.

Which takes us to the fire pits on Saturday night .... here are a few pictures

Santa was there

As was Col. Sanders

Sunday Lee and I headed out just after sunrise

Got home about 14 1/2 hours later.

Once again, this Yankee had a gret time as always at the Fall Color Ride. Already planning out the route for 2012.

Not sure about the handsome part but you were about 15' away from the fire and you still needed all that safety gear? Shocked
