Have a safe and fun ride Hoser... I will be sawing some Z's here in a bit... Gotta work tonight.

Whistler,

Saturday night in Humbolt, Ks is having the final USMTS race and will have about 100+ cars at the track for the saturday night feature race.  It starts tonight for qualifying but the feature isn't until saturday night.   So if you want we could meet up for a late lunch then go to the races?  If you want or anyone else wants to go we can get something together...  http://www.humboldtspeedway.com/

Anyone interested?

I am planning on making lunch at Williamsburg...........or where ever the consensus meeting location ends up being.

Whistler, the new Valk owner from McPherson will not be joining us. He is out of town this weekend.

I'll keep checking posts & FB for Friday's final decision.

I would like to meet for lunch on Saturday if you decide to do that.  I just live a few miles from the race track near Humboldt.  Gary

Gary,

Awesome!!  Would love to meet up with you and you are welcome to join us at the track.  I was there a couple months back and was impressed with the great food they grill up over there.  They have a nice facility.  I will PM you with my phone number and email address...

Wayne!

Alright sounds like a good time... And tell your pops happy birthday!   cooldude

Well it looks like the Chicken fried steak is winning out so far, we'll set it for sure tomorrow night. If this is indeed the consensuses I am thinking meeting in Burden around 11:30 would get us a little head start on the lunch crowd. Dana, Wayne, Marlin, Cyndi and I could meet you in El Dorado at what ever time you want.

I don.t know how early you want to head towards El Dorado but if we were to meet up at the Quik Trip in El Dorado by 9:45 and leave there by 10:00 we could ride south toward Leon, over to  Latham. From there south to Cambridge then west to Burden for the chicken fry lunch(or whatever your heart desires). That should put us in Burden by 11:00 and beat the lunch crowd.

Did I mention the place has excellent homemade pie too? Be sure to bring a small cooler for leftovers or to put candy in so it doesn't melt as the next stop after lunch will be in Dexter at the Henry's candy factory. Some good stuff can be found in there too! After that just a short ride down grouse creek road and turn around back to Dexter From there go west on 212 towards Winfield.Taking this route it's probably about 65 miles to Dexter and about 20 miles back to Winfield which should get us all back home in good time. There are quite a few curves on the Lathem road as well as the road to Cambridge.Grouse Creek road and 212 have alot of nice twistys in them too especially for a Kansas road.
This route is just a suggestion but can be modified in any way if we run short on time, whatever you all would like to do.If you are planning on eating the chicken fry I'd come hungry as it is definitly a plate full!  Shocked

The Quik Trip is  about 1 mile west of main & central in El Dorado on the north side of Central.Main street which runs north and south is Highway 77 so if you get off the KTA at El Dorado north just take 77 south towards
El Dorado and Central will be 4th traffic light you come to.
I forgot to mention you'll want to bring cash for lunch and the candy store as I don't believe either place takes credit or debit cards.  Shocked

I figured it was on Main, but you never know.  108 mi. via the pike.  I'll depart Auburn about daylight.  Hoser

Blackduck, long time no see or hear! Glad to see you making the ride. I am coming from Newton so I will be taking 196 from here into El Dorado. But I will look forward to seeing you there!

Dana 9:45 sounds great to me we will be there!

Hoser we'll look for you too.

Sounds like a good day to ride and Dana has a great ride planned.

See ya all tomorrow.
