And he says he'll commit suicide if anyone tampers with his SSI check by getting it stopped. My feelings...knock yourself out bub. It's not as though he's been a huge benefactor to the human race thus far. Guess my tolerance level for such things is lacking, he obviously has some mental problems but is capable of carrying on an otherwise normal life.

Boy, talk about old (5 months) news.  Roll Eyes

It was old news 5 months ago when it first came out and the local senator asked social security to do an investigation...

The new part is that Social Security actually cleared him of any wrong doing and said he's eligible to keep getting his checks...

Why is anyone surprised?  There are thousands of people right in your own neighborhood that are just as incompetent.  Next time you see an able body jerk park in a handicap parking spot think of this idiot, what's the difference?  Next time you go to the grocery store and you see that lady with six kids, and none of them seem to have had the same sperm donor, think of this idiot.  People chose to be dependent; it's just that our government shouldn't subsidize it as a lifestyle choice.  You should be all on your own for that one!!

I couldn't verify this myself

But I went a'googling this.  I found a number of forum posts (elsewhere) that made it sound like common knowledge that this guy was collecting because of a heart condition.  The baby stuff is a fetish.

But many believed since he can run errands and build furniture that he wasn't disabled.

My  sister, Eileen, worked all of her life and brought up five children after she divorced.  She wasn't in the best of health but did any kind of menial jobs AND NEVER received any SS assistance.

By the way, social security isn't an 'entitlement'  as these low lifers in Congress would want you to believe.  However, they turned it into an entitlement for people like these.  Neither seem to be starving either.

OUTRAGE PART DEUX ALERT.
Here ya go, My lovely wife divorced her kids dad. he quit his good job so he wouldnt have to pay much child support. 4 kids,,,,,,200 a month C/S.     but wait theres more.
He dosent take care of himself, fat, drunk, no pay C/S.  Gets diabetes, loses half of his leg.
Kids now get SS. We find out the SS is counted against the arrearages for C/S.
Tax payer = sucker.   Vote for change.

It is a fact that when a man turns 65, and has paid into SS all his life, his minor children are entitled (not sure if that is the exact term) to benefits.  I know a lady who married an older guy, he turned 65 and their 2 children collect a substantial amount monthly, till they are 18.  And this family is what you might call affluent.
It's a pisser is what I call it, and I don't know why SS isn't means-tested.  This is what I also call "low-lying fruit" in the budget balancing exercise.

" I don't know why SS isn't means-tested" Better NOT be means-tested! If I can't collect as much as a crackwhore then I better not be taxed a dime more than one. I don't care if Bill Gates doesn't need his SS when he's eligible, his money was good enough to take without his permission and he earned whatever the maximum is. If he wants to give it away that would be his business. I was forced to give up part of every paycheck I've ever earned, anybody in DC who decides later that I get less than a bum because I've saved all my life better run for their life and that's no idle threat.
