Just plug it into the aux outlet found under the rt hand sidecover, (it is hard to find), turn it up full blast, and control the volume with the aux button and volume control on the handlebar.   cooldude  Hoser

I extended the Aux input (under the right side cover) with an audio jack extension cable that runs under the tank on the frame to the handlebars, which is tied in with the other cables etc.  I plug it into my GPS with an MP3 player and listen to the music/audio directions that way using the AUX function.  When I remove the GPS I fold the cable into a little loop and slide the jack under a tie wrap to hold it out of the way.  Works great....    cooldude

Edit.... oh I also added a power port under the riser top clamp and plug my GPS into that.  But, I do have to remember to unplug it when not in use.... as it's hot and will constantly run or charge the GPS.

I did the same with a mp3 player and having it at full volume was very necessary to be able to hear it on the highway (thru the radio aux).

The downside was that the mp3 player hasn't a lot of play time when it's at full volume.

Later I thought that I could get some kind of hookup for a charger for the mp3 player but now it's getting to be too much and I don't want to mess with the bike like that.

I guess I'm stuck with the radio as is!

I have an older IRiver MP3 player on my 2K I/S, mounted on my handlebar. Runs off a 1.5 volt double A. Used the aux in and usually run it about level 12 on the stalk controls. The IRiver volume output is probably at 75%. The player also has "3D" effects, and combined with the bike's "ambiance" selection sounds real good. I think bat life is about 10 hours, but that may not be exact.

I have an auxiliary fuse panel under the seat, powered by a relay tied to the aux connectors so its on with the key. It has some power ports and USB plugs. I use one to power my Ipod, and a headphone jack cord to the Aux jack. The Ipod lives in my tank bag or pocket, or pouch in my tank bib.
Unlimited tunes, runs forever.

Run the wire down the right side of the tank ( brake side ) if you go down the left side you will get alternator and coil feedback through the speakers... I have a Sony Walkman that's been beat to death over the years it still works great and will last all day without a charge....You've got to dig around to find the plug ....It's there  cooldude
