I bought the tailight and wiring harness two years ago to make my Interstate a Super Valk with the mod on the trunk stay for easy on /off . If I could stay off my bikes when I get off the road working I might get around to installing  Undecided   Took this picture today at beautiful Norris Lake.

The Interstate is beautiful with the trunk.  IMHO, it makes the bike.  I don't know why anyone would ever want to take it off.

i'm with Joe on that one, once you've seen a SuperValk, you'll know why!  they look awsome!  i've got a tail light assembly also, just need to take the time and do some modifing.  maybe this winters project.  (that is if i don't buy that darn sidecar i've been eyeing for the last month!)

That's one of the main reasons I bought my I/S....was for the extra carrying capacity.....the previous owner had Supervalked it though, because I have the rear fender taillight still on there....I had to rotate the CB 180 degrees to get it to fit under the trunk while still being able to keep the fender light..... cooldude.....I don't plan on taking the trunk off again though

My trunk has never been off through 11 seasons and I have no desire to ever take it off.  I bought the I/S model for the functionality of it.  The trunk is the easiest place to put, and access  my "stuff".   Wink

Now you could say that I made a Super Valk out of my Std.  Guess I have the best of both.  cooldude
