Willow Springs mo

Took a ride today and what i just printed does NOT do the ride justice. Only rolled a total of 56 miles today. The first 22 miles and the last 1 mile were rather uneventful other than being on my Valkyrie. The other 33 miles are what really got my blood pumping. After i put in a little over $18.00 of 87 octane i headed down a road i've been on a lot since i got my phat ghurl. Mo 95 south out of Mountain Grove Mo.It is only slightly technical. In a short stretch you have 7 hard left and right handers of between posted speed of 15 or 20 M P H. At the stop sign at the square at M G the pavement is smooth and gently rutted. My turn to roll and i grabbed a handful in first. She broke loose but in less than 20 feet she hooked up and pulled the front end up a foot or so. Oh yeah!! Off the square and into the left and right handers. 3d gear and 35 40 miles an hour thru them all. She was really hooking up today. Past the hard left and rights and rolling south on Mo-95. Rolling hills gentle curves and that flat six is singing it's joyous song. Nature and i and the machine have become one. Onto 76 east and more hills and curves and sunlight strobing thru the trees. Past rock cuts over bridges and into third at 70 so the noise coming off the rocks and bridges is rattling my dentures. Cage ahead of me only doing 60-got the space and hammer around it upshifting to about a buck twenty five indicated. Man i love this motorcycle. Smooth fast and maybe just maybe a time machine or a dimension shifter. And all too soon the outskirts of the town i live in. Time to get safe and sane-again. So what are we supposed to do?? Ride slower and prolong the ride or ride er like you stole her and up the excitement level?? Today i did both. I prefer ride er like you stole her. coolsmiley And to my bros and sisters in the northern climes-i have no intention of putting my lady up for the winter. I've ridden every month since i got her. I intend to keep on doing just that. To tell you the truth other than my racing days-this was not my longest ride-but it fer d-mn sure was one of the most intense. And the beauty of it is-she awaits me in her garage-ready to transport me again at MY whim. Don't git much better than that. cooldude RIDE SAFE.

A Sunday 'putt-putt' through the woods, taking in all the scenery or 'twisting da wick' until yer upper lip folds up over yer forehead and flaps behind ya...  This bike can do it all  cooldude

Sounds like fun.

Just when the highway straightened out for a mile
And I was thinkin' I'd just cruise for a while
A fork in the road brought a new episode
Don't you know...

Conform, go crazy, or ride a motorcycle...

Those experiences are what keeps us going back to the two wheeled Therapy Machines.

I would think that if you rode her like I stole her, you wouldn't have anything to ride, but I'd be having fun!  Evil
