Haven't been around. Well, so's you'd notice. Just over a month ago, I decided that I was feeling way too upset, because I share a lot of differing opinions than a lot of the more vociferous on the forums. And although there are quite a few on the forums that would like to see the general forum, split into at least two, one that would be strictly motorcycle-related, and another where any kind of President bashing, union bashing, gay bashing, calling people lib-tards (polite, I must say), religious rantings, holistic health stuff, anti-immigrantion, etc, would be not only allowed, but welcomed.
So, instead of living in perpetual discontent, I decided that I would check the general forum, and if the first three posts, weren't strictly motorcycle-related, I would go elsewhere. At first I checked MANY times a day, and at the end of a week, hadn't stayed once. So I checked less often. Now, it's every couple days. In a month, I've only stuck around two or three times.
I know for a fact that I'm not the only person that would much rather have the split forums, but I just don't see the advantage of picking through the fly $**T to find the pepper.
Sad, because I really do miss the friends I've made, and met, through the forums. But, I'm not in charge, and those that are, have many times said they wouldn't change the forums.
that's the story, and I'm sticking to it...

Glad you are OK Roger. Miss your insight and opinion. Haven't seen you on Tech Board either. Sometimes a "vacation" is a good thing.

I sometimes (well....most of the time) wish that they'd split the main board into two boards too. Keep the general board where anything bike related (and other G rated stuff) can be and another board for all of the other stuff (the R rated version stuff).
Call it the Jungle. Rumble in the Jungle if you will. Put a disclaimer on it so everyone knows what to expect before going in.

You know, I wouldn't be opposed to a "politics and general bitching" forum.
