My introduction to the Valk

It's funny how you end up finding out about something great. In 2001 I bought a 01 honda 1100 spirit
v twin. The dealer wouldn't let you test ride but told me the 1100 had the horsepower of a v-65 magna.
So i bought it. Left the dealership lot and was sick ( no power ) So I rode it for 3 weeks to see if breaking it in would help. When it didn't I called my salesman John and asked what could we do. He
said come see him we'd talk. He showed me 2-01 valk's one black and 1 blue with white stripe. Honestly
I hated the look but he said that was the only honda cruiser with more power. Luckily he gave me the full purchase price back on the 1100 and I bought the valk. Put my helmet on and fired it up pulled it out to the end of the lot. (wish I had a camera on my face) When I pulled onto the road and hit the throttle a frown turned into this funny grin and look of amazement. It was the most balanced bike ive ever rode
And everyone on here knows the awesome power. To make a long story a little longer in 2003 it got smashed in the rear while parked at my brother in laws house. A 14 year old girl had took her mother's jeep and drove down the dead end street turned around and spun in the gravel making her look over her left shoulder. Naturally she steered to the left plowing my bike causing 3000 dollars in damage. I was nice and didn't involve the cops. Her mother said get the cost of repair and she would pay me. we put it in writing witnesses signed and all. Needless to say when I showed her the estimate she went broke quick but kept dragging it out. Finally got paid after 1 year or so. The worst thing the valk also had gummed up pilot jets. After my local honda mechanic ruined it 10
times over (He synced the carb's with bad guages and didn't touch the jet's) He finally tore them apart but could never get it right again.Frustrated i traded it even for a 2006 xr650l. ( regretted that ) I searched for another valk over the next several years. Finally in november 2010 I found a 1999 standard in kingsport tn. 12800 miles and a whole lot of accesories on it. I guess the point to this long story is the first valk wasn't my choice of bike's. But things happen for a reason. It's the best looking best riding bike Ive ever owned. I guess the look had to grow on me. didn't take too long. The present valk has the same vow's as my wife of 22 year's till death do us part. Im 47 and pretty sure it will outlast me!!!!

These Valkyries that allow us to become involved in their lives are like a narcotic.
Great feelings from them and we can NEVER EVER get enough.
If there be a cure for this-i ain't interested.
RIDE SAFE BRO.

Very nice ride. My bike has a lot of the same options that I see on yours. It's funny when I bought it I didn't really know what a stock bike looked like. I didn't realize I was getting so much more for my money. Glad you were able to land another one.
