Ok, I did a search in archives and on this forumBut couldn't find what I was looking for.  lt seems like I read of someone using the Shinko front tire and I am seriously thinking of putting one on the front of my Valk.  If anybody has any experience with one please share it with me.  I am wondering how long they last or what you think of tire.
I hate to ask about tires as I know they have been discussed a zillion times but I haven't found much about the Shinko

I don't know about the valk but they are a soft tire in sport bikes and the handling is good but they don't seem to last many miles before they start cupping on sportbikes.  But usually they are a 1/3 cheaper.

It was me a few weeks back. I have installed the Shinko on the front and the Bridgestone 200 Battleaxe on the rear. Along with these tires I put in the Dana-Beads for tire balance---This is the best in 82k miles that my bike has ever been. The handling is like being on a gyroscope and smooth, smooth, smooth. I have only rode on dunflops since purchase in "01 new". It also cost me about $100 less than the flops. I call it my Valkyrie Stimulus Package.  cooldude Smiley

I put one on the front last year, so far so good. It was listed as a high mile big bike tire. I can say it sticks in the corners very well, and is wearing even. I have about 3 thousand miles on it now.  Also i am running a car tire on back. I can honestly say i feel very safe with this set up.
