There is a full moon on July 30th, so by Saturday, August 2nd, it will still be "mostly" full.  Anyone up for a 10PM moonlight ride?  I'm guessing it can't be a twisty ride, but there are places to go, maybe even scaring the inhabitants of a small town somewhere outside the metromess with our motorcycle "gang".

Well, maybe not scared but wondering who those crazy people are.

And we'll plan on stopping around midnight for eats at a Denny's.

With the weather not appearing to break out of the 103-105 groove for a while, day riding for lunch is not only unenjoyable but probably dangerous.  So, that leaves the night.

Looking for some feedback to see if there is interest and any ideas on where we would go.  I will definitely preride so that we don't find ourselves off the road in the dark.

Other alternative is a 5am start so that we're back home by 11am, before we hit triple digits.

Or to just cancel rides until the weather gets more reasonable.  But SilverValk is upset that I am ignoring her except for the quick rides to my office, and I don't want to get her upset.  So that's not much of an option.

Let me hear your thoughts!!!!

Mary and I are both up for a moonlight or early morning ride.  Mary cannot handle the heat for long but she has been after me to take her riding.  As long as we can find a sitter we are there.

Are you sure about that full moon? Last night it looked pretty empty to me. I wouldn't let that stop me from going riding thou. Wink We're leaving Friday night for our annual attack on Branson for a week. I'm sorry to say they (wife and kids) won't let me take the Scarllet Lady (red&black I/S) cause they think I'ld be  gone riding too much. They say it's a family vacation but I'm the only one that has a job to get away from. :Smiley

I'd be up for a moonlight ride.

The website I checked also said the next full moon is August 16th.  It was on the 18th this month

If I'm in town, I'm up for it.  I actually prefer when the moon is not full.  Rode along with some police a couple of times when the moon was full and yes, there was more insanity in the world then than on the off-moon nights.

OK.  How about a pretty much moonless-light ride on Saturday nite?   Smiley

I'd be up for a darktime ride.  Rose may or may not have her bike back from the shop.  If she does, she'll ride with us.  Smiley
