I have a Larin LATV-J jack and would like to fabricate a jack adapter.  Does anyone know of any plans that would help me do so?

Thanks,

Here ya go!

There's even some dimensions for a wood type although I would not recommend such.

I made one of these.  I glued it with subfloor adhesive and screwed it together.  Been using it for years without issues.  Not my photo.

By chance did your Larin jack come with the ATV adapter plate?  Possible that you might be able to use that as well.

Edit... I don't believe your model came with it... but the Mal-2 did... and looks like this....

I've used this one for years with two bikes and never had a problem either.  Used pressure treat lumber for the uprights.  One inch pine for the base.

Editor's Note:

Each of these gentlemen used a thinner base board for the lift adapter, and after thinking about it, this makes real good sense.  The lift is directly under the heaviest part of the bike, and thus there is not much of a load on the base board.  Sure makes it easier to get the lift under the bike.

You want one of these:

I have one on my Interstate and am completely satisfied.  It stays on the bike and is virtually invisible to the casual onlooker.

I have recently installed these on both my wife's Tourer and my I/S.  They make a huge difference and is very stable.

I don't think I jack my bike up maybe a couple times a year so a permanent adapter (to me) is overkill.

That being said, I do stand my bike up many more times for all kinds of work.

When I stand the bike up I use bracing under the front crash bars which makes the bike very steady and much more stable.

Whenever I feel  it's necessary for even more stability I tie the handlebars with ropes fastened to the rear crash bars.

To enhance the stability of the bike whenever I have it off the side stand I wrap a small bungi cord around the front brake lever to lock the front wheel.

Locking the front wheel is a very good way to add stability to the bike whenever there is a chance of movement that can be dangerous.
