Does anybody have any clutch recommendations?   Is EBC any better than the OEM Honda's?  Is there anything out there that's even better yet?  Or is it like the brake pads where OEMHonda/Nissan rules?!
I have done some upgrades like K&N, Jet kit, better breathing exhaust and a Dyna  computer
      Thanks    Mike

I had a Barnett, didn't like it and went back to stock.    242K+ miles and no problems with stock.

Barnett makes good quality clutch kits and HD Springs. I have run a Goldwing clutch assembly with Barnett HD Springs for years. There is NO slippage coming off the line hard.

I still have the original clutch in my 03 Standard with over 93,000 miles on it, many of these miles are two up (me 190 pounds, significant other 130 pounds) and a heavy trailer.  I tend to lug the engine too slow in turns, use the clutch often, always to change gears and she's been to the drag races a few times, no issues with the clutch.

I replaced my clutch plates with OEM.  Read some reviews on Barnett's, and some folks had some problems. Of course, YMMV...

Specifically, what was it about the Barnett that you didn't like or gave you problems?

I feel you cannot improve over the stock Honda components when considering replacing the clutch parts.

The main reason being that there will be no unforeseen problems with Honda OEM parts that can occur with aftermarket replacement parts.

There are those that will plead that aftermarket replacement parts are a perfect replacement for stock Honda OEM parts and that can be true, but just a little bit of a problem here or there when performing the exchange can surely spoil the anticipated good/easy outcome of doing the complete job.

The second reason is that in most cases relating to internal motor parts the best prices are actually the direct Honda OEM replacement parts.

I have 244.8K on my OEM '97 Tourer clutch.  What more can I say?

I run all stock clutch parts, with 2 stock springs. I don't recommend the double spring unless you are supercharged, it's a bitch to hold in traffic.
I'd stay with stock.

I changed my clutch to the Barnett last May.  I like the hold when I shift up and give her but I have a hard time down shifting a lot of the time.  I sometimes have to really press hard down to get it to down shift and sometimes I have to press a couple of times to get it to go down.  When I had the OEM clutch, down shifting was a breeze, I just had to touch the shifter.  I was told by a tech familiar with valks that Barnett clutches are just a touch thicker than OEM and that is why I have troubles.  I may go back to OEM but the last one only lasted me 26k miles.  I run synthetic oil and have hauled a trailer for most of the miles I have and that does not seem to go well with OEM.
