this is the kind of stuff that makes me misstrust just about any dealership or business.  so i had some brake/caliper work done at a yamaha dealership since i haven't taken the time to get familiar with brake bleeding and brake work myself yet. (one of these years i suppose i will)  when i drove it from the shop i noticed she was running rough, like missing one cylinder or bad gas or somthing.  took a closer look and i find that one plug hole is filled with water!!!  even took a picture and will have my wife post it if she can figure out how.  unbelievable!  i sucked/dried it out and she runs fine.  is this a new trick to have the customer bring the bike back and offer an overhaul or something?  not looking forward to calling them out on it - what are they going to say, right?  i really need to meet someone nearby that i can work on bikes together with.  what a country.

It's your bike and if it bothered you enough to rant about it here, you should call them out on it. If you get the response you seem to be expecting/wanting, them you really do have a bitch.
Could be they washed the bike as part of the service (many shops do that) and did not dry things off properly.

Hey Bill Before you go jumping down the dealer's throat, have you cleaned the weep holes that each spark plug hole has? Underneath the block where the exhaust comes out is a small hole that goes to the spark plug hole. A weep hole and they do get plugged with grit as the spark plug boot is not water tight. Happened to me and no dealer was involved. Just used a piece of thin wire to clean it up.

Like Chrome said, it may not be the dealers fault.. If the bike was washed before returning it to you, thats a nice gesture.. If the sparkler drain holes are plugged and the cavity filled with water, that really can't be blamed on the dealer.. They wouldn't know this happened, the boots should keep most most of the water out and the drain holes should let any water out that may happen seep past the boots..

My dealer washes the bike when it goes in.  If YOU did not clean out the hole, it will be full of water.  Sounds like they did a good job, and you are angry with them for it!  Clean out the little hole, and don't sweat the small stuff.

appreciate the feedback - glad i didn't over react - it is just as you guessed - will clean weep holes and probably have them look at an electrical problem later that i haven't been able to nail down.  shop fee is $68 an hour so i try to limit the jobs i need someone else to do.  thanks again for the feedback.
