Again we wimped out the start time to ride. Dallying until 10 hoping for the suns warmth (don't forget it was really 11 when we left).  cooldude

Ian arrived with Mark on ST in tow. They met by happenstance at their gas fill up.

Mark has recently bought the new to him 2007 ST. 26,000 miles and loaded with "stuff". About $3,500 worth of "stuff" including a heated Russel Day Long seating combo. Ian has heated grips and I won with Gerbing jacket liner and gloves. I don't care if my "grapes of wrath" get chilled.

My role was to make them completely disoriented and their GPS's dizzy enough to vomit.  Cheesy

A beautiful day for riding with some goat trails and dirt roads thrown into the mix . Mark has ridden for years so my usual short forays onto groomed dirt roads didn't faze him in the slightest.

No photos until lunch although we did stop a few times to check the GS oil level and to visit a unique furniture store. Reassuring Mark of our sexuality I told him it's the kind of furniture Ian and his business partner Rick like. Ricks family has a house on Lake Santeelah a few miles south of Deals Gap.

Very well made furniture. I liked a dining table made from one section of a 150 year old Elm tree. A slice along the length of the trunk. A snip at $8,000

Both Ian and Mark had skipped breakfast. Mark was enroute to a car show when he met Ian and decided to go riding with us.

The nearest non fast food was the Appalachian Grill.

I've ridden past dozens of time but always early morning headed north or early evening headed home.

The hostess took us into the main dining room where upon seeing us bouffant haired, pearl wearing grandmothers clutched their grandchildren to their overly talcumed bosoms

Once seated the lull we caused in the various conversations around the dining room reignited as the post Sunday church goers realized we weren't the spawn of Satan come to harass them.

Post lunch I continued to take them on scenic roads eventually winding our way back to the north Atlanta suburbs.
