Unless built for the Japanese market-no reverse. Depends on how bad someone wants it or how deep their pockets be. Bidding is sometime no rhyme or reason involved. Figure YOUR maximum dollar outlay and DO NOT EXCEED THAT FIGURE. Good luck with it whatever you decide. RIDE SAFE.

I would take the ad with a grain of salt, listed as having a cb, just has the controls no CB.

Guess i should have read the description before i said anything. Already has floor boards-not cheap has a C B radio-not cheap at all. 27--- miles and change-not even broke in yet!! Depending on what trike kit it is They go mid four figure mid five figure new. If the bike is anything like described(find a board member here that would check it out for you) The reserve is not out of line. It all really depends on what YOU want and how much you want to spend. RIDE SAFE.

Nice trike for the right price. Being that I own a Valk Trike, I'm always looking at what they're going for.

The add-placer doesn't know the trike they are selling. The trike pictured is a California Sidecar conversion, not a Lehman as they are saying. And, the CSC costs nowhere near 15K for the kit w/install. Anyone interested needs to tread lightly.

Why they chose not to offer the reverse option outside of Japan still makes absolutely no sense to me!

I don't know about trikes but my sidecar rig was easy to push around, once I got off, even with my bad knees. I would'nt consider reverse as neccessary.

Based on the last 2 years of looking for a Valk trike, or converting one, I would bet the reserve is over $20,000. And since I have purchased one, I can say you don't need the reverse unless can't push back the bike you have now. Mine rolls very easy, and you don't have to hold bike up, so it seems easier than a bike. If needed, I just go up front and push on the front forks. That way it goes real easy, and I can see and steer from there

So you read Japanese also. I'm impressed I was curious when I saw that there were 6 different Japanese models. GL1500Cv, GL1500Vw, GL1500Cx, GL1500CTx, GL1500CTy and GL1500CD1. I'm trying to figure out what the difference is. http://valkyrienorway.com/japanese/differences.html

I agree. Easy to get off, and push my sidecar rig backwards. Just remember cannot back up, and can usually park so you do not have to. I push it out of my garage, but so far, in two years, have NOT had to push it backward while riding. I have put on over 10,000 miles. I have pulled into uphill spots, so I can just let it roll backwards. If I have a spot to park downhill, I just make a 180 BEFORE parking, and let it roll backwards into the spot. Then drive out. MP

You would be surprised at how many IS owners think they have a CB just because it is on the controls. Includes me until I found out where the CB radio itself is mounted. (Under the trunk). I found out when I checked my manual. May have been moved on a trike, though. I had a 2 wheeler. Hoser

Finally got the photostash fiqured out, so here is pictures and comments This is my one and only trike, so I can't say anything other than what I learned while researching. If I was converting one, I would use mystery designs. I talked to him at Sturgis, and he rakes the neck rather than use raked triple trees (means he can go as much or as little as you want). His IRS is well engineered, and he actually makes a top trunk from an IS trunk mold. His bottom trunk also has more storage. After 2 years of shopping, I found it cheaper to buy also, and bought this girl. 60,000 miles, Lehmann kit, 4.5 degree raked forks. BUT, I just barely paid more than what a 99 IS would bring. (Got the trike kit for about $4,000 that way). All I can say is I love this trike. Power, ride, handling, etc. Wish I had done it years ago. Best advice I can give is to do LOTS of research, and honestly, I would look for one done already, and then after you purchase and like, sell the old one to offset cost. I do not have reverse, and if I can't push it back while sitting, I just go to the front and push on forks. Then I can steer and guide it back as I go. Mine rolls very easy. I think it is easier to back then a bike, because I never have to hold up the bike as I do it. Either way, good luck, and you should be happy with about any of the name brand kits.
