Alright, I use to love watching the history channel, but that’s it, I’m sick of watching all these stupid “ancient aliens” crap!  Why is it so hard to think that a human being can not have the ability to solve complex equations without the use of a computer or calculator?  Why can’t people accept the fact that WE HUMANS made the pyramids, WE made the Nazac Lines!  Leonardo Davinci was a HUMAN BEING!  NOT AN ALIEN!!  And no, he didn’t talk to aliens either!!

I know there are plenty of other good shows on the history channel, but still, why do some people think it’s easier to believe in extraterrestrials then in human abilities?

Alright, now with the real issue!  I just put the cycle away, and I’m not looking forward in watching six months of television when it’s probably going to have to deal with ALIENS!!  Cheesy

I don't necessarily agree about who built this crap, but the H has gone off the deep end with a lot of stuff. Every so often it turns into The DaVinci Code Channel and I'm not really buying that bread is a Modern Marvel.

I also get annoyed when I see a knob like Sena Hannity on a channel that claims to be something of an educational platform.

The "Hairy Bikers" on History are doing pretty well at showing the rest of the world that Americans are gullett stuffing morons.

The "Travel Channel" has turned into the gluttony show with that vapid, moon faced plonker Adam whatshisname.

At least Bourdain and Zimmern are amusing and don't try to eat their own body weight in every show.

I actually like that show but I don't see what it has to do with traveling.

Did anyone here see South Park last night? It's rather relevant to this subject.

I miss Samantha Brown. Her shows are informative and she comes off an a genuine person.
And she's easy on the eyes.
WTF, Ice Road Truckers? Who cares. Aliens? Who cares. Gotta BUY Histort Channel II for anything worth while.

If I want see aliens, I tune into any of the junk the wife watches:

Sell this House; Buy this house; Burn this house; (my own future show, when she gets on my case. Like "Look, hon! They fixed the whole heating system in 28 minutes, including commercials! You can do it, too!) Fix this house. Auction wars. Hoarders. Dancing with the dorks.
History channels is OK in my books, when nothing else is on (like a decent movie, 3rd Rock from the sun re-runs). It's always the same snake-oil guys yakking about the alien angle, but heck - food for thought, anyway. How WAS some of that stuff built? 60,000 oxen and an engineer type dude in a robe? Would we even know about some of it, without some dork going into some jungle and filming it? What about only a few thousand years ago and the point at which homo (no offense) sapiens put development into unprecedented high gear? Birth of religion as we know it?
Dunno. One can be intrigued with the many wonders and still keep an open mind, a healthy dose of scepticism and enjoy the 'show'. It can't always be about wars. Gimme that channel anytime, over some "Buried Alive In junk".

oh, don't get me started with my wife's favorite shows; "fatest loser" "survivor?"!!  two of the dumbest TV shows EVER made!  and my wife doesn't miss an episode!  if she does, she watches it on line!!

fastest loser = a bunch of fat asses that cry over the drop of a cookie!
surviver = 20 some odd people staged to stab each other in the back, then go back to their hotel room to stratigize the next day!

yeah, IRT, where's the ice in Bolivia!?!
