I have been searching for a tank bib.  Some where I saw one that had a pocket on it, and had a flap that went over the chrome gas cap.  Does anyone know who makes this bib.

I know, you want your chrome to show, but I rode for 3 hours Saturday with a chrome spot in the windshield right in my line of sight, and 8 inches across. Now im wondering what it costs to not have that happen anymore...

The guys that I know of that used to make them (in Canada, I think) got derailed by the economic downturn
a couple of years ago...

Has anyone asked the Talisman people (a sponsor of this site) if they could do it?

thanks guys!  If they are not made anymore thats fine.  We have a good saddle shop here in town that could make me one pretty quick and easy if i brought in a bib and showed them what i wanted.  But if there was a company out there making them, i would try to buy one rather than copy it...

Check with Scott at Talisman.  he is a sponser on this site.  Refresh your screen until you find his banner.  If he doesn't list them on his site, he can do it.  Know someone that has one.  I looked at it and it is NICE.  I have the Heritage on my IS...it is good but will be changing it out to a Talisman sometime soon.

BTW...have a talisman on the wife's tourer.  no cover on gas cap.  It is well put together.

Hey KS Just order a bib from Scott at Talisman http://www.saddlebagsbytalisman.com/ ,one of our sponsers. He also makes a cover for the gas cap. He used my Valks as templates for them.

I experienced that same glare. It really effected my vision.
Had my wife who is quite the seamstress make me a cover. I made a pattern out of paper and she did the rest. Made out of black marine vinyl. Works great. Pic's attached.

This is on a Hopnel tank bib - it would work on just the gas cover also.
