Long work schedule starting tomorrow and lots of things to do today, but got out for a 60 mi ride. I'm in Coachella Valley, east of LA about 120 miles. The valley extends for approximately 45 miles southeast from the San Bernardino Mountains to the saltwater Salton Sea, the largest lake in California. It is approximately 15 miles wide along most of its length, bounded on the west by the San Jacinto Mountains and the Santa Rosa Mountains and on the north and east by the Little San Bernardino Mountains.
Palm Spring with its LA history on the western border and Indio to east, farming etc. So if I am just out for a short ride, I head around valley. 2 lane roads, little traffic. Summer weather is gone and today about 70* on desert floor. Nice to get out. i rode around the valley and chilled out. Great!
