Hi, sorry to bother yall again. Finally got the carbs back in last night and I was using the lightest that I had taken before taking it out, so I thought I had everything routed correctly, but now my throttle cable binds when the bike is turned all the way to the right Sad  I have tried re routing it an so far no luck, it will turn from full throttle to off, but it is pretty stiff

As a side note though, everything else is coming along. Got the front forks rebuilt with progressive springs and heavier oil, got the light bar installed with relays, and did the headlights mod, got the electrical connections led kit installed, and desmogged the bike while in there Smiley  got what I need to overhaul the final drive and that will probably be one of the final projects before I try to crank it up and hopefully I can sync the carbs :O

Thanks again for the site and the help, I would never had gotten this far without both

That binding is usually a sign that there is not enough slack in the cables, both of them.

You can increase the slack by screwing in the adjuster that is on the cable there at the throttle.

This will mean there will be a small amount of free play in the throttle with the bars straight ahead.

Remove the free play and the result is binding when the bars are to the lock at the right.

Of course it is a necessary thing to insure it is all in proper working order also.

Try loosening the nuts where the cables meet at the bars of the switch gear.  Let the cables move to where they want with the nuts loose, then snug them up and try it.  Just the slightest change in the cables makes a huge difference with them binding.

Did you test for good lock-to-lock throttle return before you took everything apart?
If you can't find a routing problem, maybe all you need is lube. I didn't have good
lock-to-lock throttle return when I got my bike. I ordered a new throttle
cable, and while that was on the way, I lubed my old cable (kept putting lube
in at the top until started oozing out down at the carbs)... I still have the new
cable, it's not installed, the old one works great now...
