Two brothers racing.  6 into 2 slip-on.  Sounds pretty good, and not loud enough to give me a head-ache.

Hi Hedgehog -
Love the horn mounting.  I want to do the same.  Did you make a bracket to mount between the horn and bike?  If so, can you show the design and dims.

Thanks Chiefy, that's helpful  cooldude- I'm looking for a replacement for the OE ones that someone has cut about - they are now too loud for long rides. Would you say the 2 brothers stuff is quiet enough to tour with?

Mind me asking how much you paid? Embarrassed

Thanks.

Hi Tom,

I got one of those steel horn mounting strips that you get with some cheaper horns (about 70mm long and 20mm wide with a hole drilled at each end). I folded that in half (so then only one hole at one end, drilled another hole at the other end in the now thicker and shorter strip of metal, and then bent it in a dog leg (bend to the left, right and left again).

That then goes on a bolt from the petcock mounting. I used rubber washers so the bolt had to be longer than the one it replaced. Smiley

Its shown a bit wonky in the picture, but its easy to adjust and now sits at a perfect 90 degrees.

I put a rubber bush on the bottom end that sits on the engine casing, taking some weight and reducing vibration.

So far so good... Grin

Dave.

Tomorrow its three gauges from motosens to fit (radiator temp, volts and clock) plus a blinker buddy...

Got a Gear change indicator coming from Holland next week!! Roll Eyes

Ride safe.

Everything is relative.  I wear a full face helmet, and the noise doesn't bother me.  Although on a tour I might throw in ear-plugs.

They don't make these mufflers any more, and they were on the bike when I got it, so don't know what a used set costs.

From a quick google search.  You should be able to find it cheaper.  I got mine at my Honda shop.  Amazon was cheaper then the Honda shop.

Yeah,

I got mine from Amazon too.

Last one I could find in the UK, everywhere here seems to be out.
