I did something..........

using the Outlook for my emails at work

usually in my inbox I have received, from etc across the top

now only received

Who knows what to do in order to get them back the way I had em? as now I cant see who sent me an email

I will be in my office tomorrow afternoon 718 994 1640 if anyone has any idea what I screwed up

OSS, bless your heart. Hope you get a "GOOD" responce. Windows 7 is driving me nuts for Email programs, I.E. Emailing photo`s. I can not do it.  Cry

Not exactly sure what ur asking but try putting your cursor on the bar or line that has your "Received, From etc" on it and right click your mouse to see if it brings up a list of options to include on that bar/line......

If I understand you right here is how you fix it:


1. Open Outlook, then display your Inbox.

2. Move your cusor to the bar under the word Inbox that shows Subject, Recieved, Size, To, ETC.

3. Right click on that bar.

4. Scroll to "Customize Current View..." and click

5. Now click on "Fields"

6. Move what you want to display to the right side and you can also rearrange the order.

7. Click "OK" to finish

thanks I will try that tomorrow  the machine runs windows xp

we also have a computer running 3.1 and word for dos
and of course a typewriter

pic is how dad did it back in the day

Received, From and Message and Attachment

which is exactly what I wanted

Whenever all else fails I always do a System Restore from an earlier date that I knew it was working as wanted.

Fact I just did one this morning as I dropped a bunch of Christmas cards on the keyboard.     Man the screen went crazy.

I just back up 3 days, restored and it is as was before.

My lucky day I guess.
