I don't like the direction this country is going. That's the nicest thing I can say.  Sad

In Allen Park and Dearborn Hts. MI, cops can give you a speeding ticket even if you are driving at or below the speed limit. Then they say that you must pay the fine and cannot fight the ticket in court.

They will ask you if you would accept a "Impeding Traffic" ticket so you don't get "more points" on your driving record,...as if they are doing you a favor.

By the way our dog rides on Damselflys bike quite often. Our dog "Joey" was at the last two INZANES, this year he rode on the SuperValk. Now it's Valk related.

Is there ANY law on the books stating that the motorcycle rider was in the wrong???

Other than the dog somehow "interfering with the safe control of the vehicle"... I can't see where this is a problem.  As for the claim of animal cruelty... has that cop never seen a dog stick his head out the window of a car at 70+ mph????  Dogs LOVE that kind of stuff!!!

That cop should have his house and yard TP'ed... with that picture taped to his front door to let him know why it happened.   uglystupid2

We have the same thing too, this side of the water... Its like an immune system respionse gone mad - there's no real danger but the system   police reacts like there is...

Not long ago a sports teacher over here got sacked because he took children out to play on a hill after it had snowed.

He was done because he did not carry out a formal 'risk assessment' first and might have put the children in 'unacceptable danger'.
 ???
Wh - a- a- a-t ???!
 Shocked

What ever happened to common sense..... (and accepting that reasonable risk is a part of life).

The way its going lies madness... Angry

I think PETA should get involved.

If they can sue over teh slavery of whales, they should be a natural to sue the state for infringing on the dog's civil liberties!!!

It's the great "pussyfication" of the entire world!  Embarrassed Sad

In the USA it has the added impetus of everyone being scared stiff of being sued into poverty. tickedoff Shocked Cry
