Has anyone used the Mix-It2 or any other unit to hook up a gps, two way radio, etc. to the auxiliary of the Interstate radio? I was wanting to add the gps that I have and possibly a two way radio and or a cell phone to my radio system.
Any help is appreciated.
I looked it up and think I might have checked it out awhile ago as well. In theory it sounds good... but I can't see anyone wanting to be that connected and wired while riding. I like my music while riding, and either listen to the radio or the MP3 Player in my GPS, which still permits me to get directions while in the MP3 mode (pauses music and gives audio directions). Trying to have a phone connection there is a bit much, and unless it is in a full face helmet with mic/ear phones it is impossible. Interfacing a CB or two way radio is ok for listening (such as in traffic alerts on a CB possibly) but the Mix-it2 doesn't allow for a microphone connection from what I read. (Note: The Mix-It does not provide a microphone interface or communications capability and will not work for conducting conversations on a cell phone or CB radio without additional hardware and/or cables.)
If you opt to get it.... let us know how it works out for you... but I think that would be a bit much myself.
