What is usually found residing in the fuel float bowls is an amalgam of organic compounds due to the presence of ethanol in the gasoline.
I am not a chemist (or an alchemist

) but did minor in chemistry and spend more time than I like reviewing lab reports for my job and your statement begs a question; An amalgam is an alloy of mercury and other metals and organic compounds are carbon based molecules, I am wondering where the mercuy comes from in the ethanol fuels you are talking about. Do you have any data to support your statement.
