Anyone have a starvation problem running the filter that comes with the redeye fuel line replacement kit?

It doesn't seem that restrictive, which probably means its not as good at picking out the small particles,  mostly just worried about starvation

Thanks

I think an extra filter is redundant.

The screen filter on the petcock is adequate to keep all the foreign matter out of the carburetors.

What is usually found residing in the fuel float bowls is an amalgam of organic compounds due to the presence of ethanol in the gasoline.  Don't be fooled by the color of what you see and think it is rust.

Stop using ethanol enriched gasoline and most all clogging issues go away.

I am not a chemist (or an alchemist Roll Eyes) but did minor in chemistry and spend more time than I like reviewing lab reports for my job and your statement begs a question; An amalgam is an alloy of mercury and other metals and organic compounds are carbon based molecules, I am wondering where the mercuy comes from in the ethanol fuels you are talking about.  Do you have any data to support your statement.

For clarification....if also means a mixture of different elements, although that happens to be the secondary definition.  cooldude

Different parts of speech. Amalgam vs. an amalgam
