A friend of mine has a a 2010 Honda SilverWing and every time he starts from a stopped position, then accelerates, the little thing begins to chirp. He has taken it into the Honda shop and they can't find anything wrong. I told to solve this problem is get yourdelf a Valkyrie, (now Valkyrie related),  but he says he doesn't know how to shift. So does anyone know what is causing this chirpping sound?             Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!            Great tech board!!!!!!!!!!!

It's the petcock.

It's always the petcock.

All seriousness aside, I think those have a centrifugal clutch and I was going to suggest starting there.  Did a quick search and found this thread: Silverwing Forum  May be the drive belt instead.
