When I was putting a new rear tire on thie summer, after everything was reassembled the caliper was still a bit loose and you could actually move it a bit.
I double checked it and everything was tight and assembled properly. It functioned fine this summer and ther were no rattles , but it seems as if maybe it may be missing some parts as I know there has been many hands on it before me.

Is this normal none of the cages I have worked on have a calper setup like this

normal..valks have floating calipers..
