Does anybody have a picture of a well dressed Rune with hard bags, comfortable seats and a batwing or full size windshield?

http://www.corbin.com/honda/hrunefair.shtmlClick on the blue one. We saw this one in person at the Honda Hoot in Knoxville, Tennessee . I've got a few pictures somewhere. All the add-ons are ( was ) made by Corbin.

I think those options only make the bike look worse. It looks sharp by itself, but adding options to it make it less attractive. I think the reverse is true for the true Valkyrie.

I was doing a little research for a friend who was about to buy a Harley before riding my Tourer. He saw his 1st Rune last week and his head nearly exploded. My buddy was given a conditional "go ahead" from the wife, provided that her creature comfort needs were met. I'm going to try to re-direct his mind back to a nice Tourer or Interstate.

Um, make sure you specify WHICH Valkyrie your vision is going to have for breakfast.

Interesting. Looking at where the exhaust goes, I'd think those saddle bags could double as ovens. Seriously, just wrap a roast in foil and chunk it in the bag. Head out on a 200 mile ride, then pull over and chow down.

Do you ever feel like that Vision looks like what people from the 1950's thought motorcycles would look like in the future? By the way, eat quick, breakfast ends when I pull the GXSR out. Every bike has something that will out run it. The Vision is no match to the Valkyrie in terms of classiness.

Yep. That's a large part of what I like about it. I referred to it as, "Future retro" in one of my blogs. Each to his own, but I think the Vision is a beautiful bike. Just need to replace that V-tiwn in it's chest. Just imagine it with the retro styled KMV engine from Katech sitting longitudinally in it. Add two more cylinders and make it a V-6. Cherry red or chromed valve covers based on the bike's paint scheme. The Vision is no match to the Valkyrie in terms of classiness. Apples and oranges. Both beautiful bike in different styles.

Nice bike though if you can survive the visual beat-down.

I was on the interstate today and saw a Victory coming up behind me. It was the cross country model with fairing and bags. As he passed, I noticed the Hells Angels jacket. He exited into a yuppy neighborhood in North Phx. What's up with that?

Apparently, they've become fashionable with the Hell's Angel crowd. Sonny Barger, the founder, rides one.

Vision, WTH were they thinking.
They have rebounded with a bike that mimics the Harley Street Glide and Kawi has the Vaquero.
Victory may make it now.
But just barely.
IF Harleys are so bad why does everybody try to make at least a few of their bikes look like a Harley?

If they would just fix that silly muffler so that normally shaped bags could fit, and put a REAL passenger seat, I might be tempted to get one.
Until then, I'll pass.

Took out one of Cory Ness' modified Visions, no trunk, blacked out. A beautiful bike, handled extremely well, very comfortable, good power. A bit on the high side $$$ for me. Still not as fast a my Valk and of course not as smooth or purrrrrrrdy. And while I'd never sell my Valk, I'd consider a Vision like the one I rode.

Thanks everybody. Using the pictures I got from the Rune board and elsewhere, i put together what I needed to show my friend. His wife promptly vetoed the idea. I'm still pushing for him to get a tourer or Interstate, but it won't kill me if he gets a H-D.
I'm ready for him to get something......anything, so we can ride together. Just like a Corvette doesn't make a great family car and as fun as the Rune would be, it won't be practical in his situation.
