It was really great getting together this year @ Maggie Valley!  That was one of the best trips of our year.  Miss you guys!!

I usually get a bird 20 lbs. or larger. With everything going on this year, by the time I got to the store the biggest they had was a pathetic 9.72 lbs. It looked more like a chicken than a turkey.
It was the best one yet. Easy to handle and smoked beautifully. I think my annual game plan from now on is two small birds rather than one large one.

I agree...small has sweeter, juicier meat...looks wonderful.....I'm roasting bell peppers, eggplant, beets and acorn squash today
