Looks like that ragged out CBX you've been looking for is in Maryland USA .
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1979-Honda-CBX-Ready-Restore-/260900575459?pt=US_motorcycles&hash=item3cbee2d8e3

Also a very low mile near mint one in New Mexico USA.

Sure wish I had bought about 10 of these in the late 80's when you could get'em for around $1,000.00 to $1,200.00 and  pull them out now for sale.

I had a couple of them, my brother 3, plus still has his 79 turbo, 326hp.

interesting, 1980 was the only one made in Ohio,18 miles from home and my 82 both used the same key, I also found another 82 with the same key. I did hear that 200-220 keys were used a lot.

Joe,   the GP sport kit on that red one and on my black one nib today is near $1000., handle bar-beams, cables, footpeg set backs, etc.. I paid about $150. for mine at dealer(discounted)
  I did have my '82(with a 79 speedometer & cams) down past 150. 1047cc taken out to 1268cc later. I haven't taken the Valk over 110, just don't "feel it" anymore !

Here is another, http://stlouis.craigslist.org/mcy/2673540494.html ,My son attended the local tech high school where he studied small engine course. Honda had supplied the school with several complete  bikes for training. All fully dressed CBX's. He attended in the mid 90's I remember him telling me that most of the screws and bolts had been in and out so many times they could be bottomed out with your fingers. Cool bikes ,maybe the public wasn't ready for them. BMW seems to think their ready now.

Awesome pictures Thumper.  Never saw one with that turbo set-up.  The CBX was the baddest thing rolling when I was young.

My neighbor had a stock '79 and was my best riding buddy at the time.  I had a very modified Yamaha RD400 and could take him until 50mph or so.  But when he blew by after that, it was "see ya" to me.

I remember my neighbor getting stopped for 140mph after meeting a cop one night.  He never let up and the cop couldn't catch him.  You can't outrun a radio though, so they got him at a road block.  No ticket back then, they just escorted him home and told his parents.  That was the good old days! police

We still see each other at a local bike night.  No more CBX, he rides a Big Dog Chopper now.  After all these years, and all the different bikes we've both had, it's funny how our conversations always touch on that CBX.

Brand new 1982 Tourer in Florida with only 5 miles on it  Shocked  I would think Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum will be watching this one.

The last I saw the bids were up to $6500 and the reserve had not been reached.

Hard to believe that design is 30yrs older than the BMW 1600's.

The 81's are commonly referred to as school bikes. They were grey. prices were around (guessing from memory)79-3998,80-4298,81-5698,82-6298. In may of '85 Honda cleaned out the warehouse and our '82's were 3K out the door.
CBX racing in Cal. in late eighties did manufacture a few 1500cc blocks. I was running an x-drag decompressed 1268 and my brothers is a 1233, currently being put together again, after 2500 miles and a couple unheard of bizarre events maybe he will get the bugs out finally. He could run 1# and embarrass a stock CBX. At 100mph the front will come over on you. With me getting the Valk and CBX prices going up, he's getting back to it. he has too many other toys.

The CBX is priced as high in the United States as in Norway, while the Valkyrie is one fourth of the price in the U.S.
