The Run For The Wall riders will be coming through Terrell on Sunday, May 17. This group rides from Ontario California to Washington DC to call attention to the POWs and MIAs from Korea, Viet Nam, and the Gulf wars. The present a petition to congress and gather at the Wall in DC to remember. Last year there were 500,000 in DC on Memorial Day. Joe and I will ride with the group from Terrell to Longview. Lunch will be served at the American Legion or we can make a trip to the Butcher Shop in Longview for lunch (their burgers and free chili are exceptional). Anyone who wants can continue the ride into Louisana or all the way to DC. You can pick them up in Weatherford that morning or meet us in Terrell on the Boookshires parking lot. We will take a more leisurely ride home from Longview. This ride is not for wimps!!! They ride hard and they ride fast so if you can't handle that stay home! The road guards make you stay bunched up or go to the rear. It is a hard ride but I believe in their cause and the manner in which they go about it. More info is on their web site
