...and I was there... AWESOME show! I was just 18 at the time so I had the energy and wyliness to worm my way up near the front. Ended up spending the rest of the night on a park bench in SoHo after my host got too drunk off the beer I had bought and couldn't drive back into London to pick me up, and I'd missed the last train back to his town. (We were staying in Basildon, about 30 miles east of London.)

Cliff Richard & The Shadows, Dire Straits, Elton John, Eric Clapton, Genesis, Mark Knopfler, Paul McCartney, Pink Floyd, Robert Plant & Jimmy Page, Status Quo, Tears for Fears, Ray Cooper, all on one stage (Not all at once, although, as the video shows, there was a lot of blending from one act to the next...

Wow, looked like a great show. Too many arteest's to make the beer and whatever last through all of them, at least when I was 18...  Embarrassed

Would you believe.... that this tune was banned in Canadastan earlier this year? Amazing yet true.
