fast blinking with normal bulbs

I'm kinda stumped, installed some aftermarket lightbar with blinkers, and thought the fast flash was because of them, but, installed old blinkers temporary, and still blinked fast

Got a new new flasher relay, standard el12 and it fixed the fast flash, but the front bulbs on the new lightbar are about half the brightness flashing than as running lights. Checked the voltage output at the light hookup without the front light attached, but with the rear attached and the relay jumped out and voltage dropped to 11.8

Any suggestions on a fix, seems like something is bleeding voltage off between the handlebar switch to the lights. Of course it might be normal too and the new bulbs just show it more but I doubt it

They may be wired backward, the running lights should be dimmer than the flashers.  Hoser

Hoser's right...as you found out.  The blue and/or orange wires with the white stripe are for the running lights. The solid colors are the flashers.
