I have found a set of these and I know that they are hard to find.
My question is how much are these going for now compared to when they where new OEM?

They become available so rarely, I don't remember any real numbers about how much they bring... they
could bring a couple hundred dollars on eBay probably, a whole bunch here on the classifieds too
I'd guess... I'd give you $75  Wink

If you have them and are going to run them, then what does it matter what they are worth?

Question(s).....   can the Scuff Guards be removed like a tank emblem (with floss or fishing line) and then reinstalled on a different set of bags?  I think they can, but wonder if anyone has done this?

Yes they can - or a heat gun works also.
Clean up and new double sided tape - set to go  cooldude
This is exactly how I got this pair - Off an existing bike.
