Congrats to the Fighting Tigers of LSU for going a perfect 13 and 0 and winning the SEC Championship.

Who should LSU play in the BCS title game?  Should Alabama get another shot, or should it be someone else?

BCS is a strange way to pick the best.  thumbs up to LSU!  I went to Florida so am partial to Southeastern conference.  i think you have to go for the two best even though they have already played each other.

 LSU v. Alabama  cooldude

What happens if Alabama wins? do they go 2 out of 3?  Undecided

LSU fans ROCK!  I always enjoy when they come to Tennessee to play the Vols. They are the best tailgaters in the country, they even invite UT fans to join them. My congrats go out to them for a great year

I say Alabama. They've earned it. Likely to be a good game with the outcome in doubt till the last second. And either way, SEC wins.

It's official

The two best teams in college football will meet for the championship.

I don't think anybody but Alabama would have a realistic shot at beating LSU.

Even so, the Tigers will be victorious.........again.

Actually there is a precedent for the winner of the rematch being named national champion even though they got beat by the same team in the regular season.
In 1996 FSU beat the top rated gators in the regular season finale. Then due to an odd series of other contenders losing the gators got a rematch with the Seminoles.
Since I'm not a gator fan & I am a Seminole fan I don't like to elaborate on the result of that game but the gators won the mythical national championship that year.
I have a feeling the LSU fans will feel the same way if Alabama prevails in a rematch.
They won't be playing 2 out of 3.   Roll Eyes
I wish college ball would get a playoff system in place. Until then we are stuck with the weird BCS system that we now have. It's better than no system but not much.

BTW, I don't consider the 9-6 LSU win as totally legit. I don't like the convoluted "overtime" that college ball uses. It's like penalty shots in NHL hockey. WTF??
As far as I'm concerned the LSU-Alabama game was a 6-6 tie.

We FSU fans felt the same way in 1996 but the powers that be over-ruled us. We thought since we beat them once that it was settled. Nope.
LSU & Alabama are very evenly matched as evident by the first game, clearly the best 2 teams right now.
BTW, just bought our tickets to the Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando.

Just look up Ok. St.'s stats, compare them to anyone else's stats, and then tell us all who should be playing for the championship...Jim  cooldude

You've got me all wrong.  I look foward to the rematch.  Bama was the only opponent that LSU didn't cleanly defeat.  An overtime victory in Saban's sandbox isn't good enough for me either.  I hope both teams play their best games in the championship match, and let that decide it.
