a message to the ladies, don't trust your BOZO to properly show you how to shoot large caliber weapons.  my dad was one such bozo, my mom wanted to shoot one of his 12 ga shotties and being afraid of it she held it off her shoulder about 1 1/2".  she got a nice bruise on her shoulder and dad got a nice punch in the gut

I had to cut several inches off the stock on my wife's 12gauge (20 inch barrel) so she could get it in the shoulder and reach the trigger. To any one else it is a hip shooter only,even the younger kids. She took it to the LEO academy when she got her instructor license. The other officers thought it was cute and a girls gun. They wanted to shoot it so she slipped a few rounds of BB in it. Couple of them busted their faces and never laughed at it again       Even her face is so close to the action (because of her short arms) that training with slugs cost a couple visits to the dentist.

20 years ago, lived in Texas and was out in back of my friends house popping off a bunch of rounds through a number of guns... His dad came home and wanted to take a crack at my Winchester 1300 Defender with pistol grip and 19" barrel.  Handed it over to him.  He was aiming down range and we were looking down range when I glanced over and saw him with the gun up to his face and looking down the barrel!  I yelled "No" just as he let a round go... Same sceario that you saw above and split his lip wide open... You don't look down the barrel of a 12 ga. with a pistol grip.
The only pic I have of it is with 2 other guns.  Top one is the 1300 Defender that holds 6 rounds and has a sling with 12 more. (definitely a riot gun) ... middle is the same set up in 410 round (Mossberg) and the bottom is a 38 cal. Derringer that I picked up somewhere.
