I need a fire hose nozzle, Niagara Falls kind of shower head. One that'll knock the dirt and soap off of ya and knock you down if ya ain't careful kind a shower head. My trusty old Peerless 5 function shower head fell apart. Went to Lowes because they sell Peerless and was hoping to find the same one. No luck. Bought one that had the same features and looked the same, but......it ain't the same. I don't care about saving the planet and don't care how much water I use so I'm not in the market for any water saving shower head......and I don't want some "gentle rain shower" foo foo kind of shower head either.....I need a real man's shower head. If I could figure out how to adapt a fire hose nozzle to my shower I'd do it. Brand name and model numbers would be nice.

You can buy a good quality one an remove the restrictor from the inside for more water volume.I've done that.I think most shower heads are water savers.Pain in the -ss.

Look at the Kohler Flipside series; if you get the handheld, you can blast all your pieces/parts as much as you like...

I also have a water saver type, it's all metal and has a lever to adjust volume or shut off water (to soap up) and you can semi adjust the spray volume (not type of spray). Got it at Home Depot and it has worked great for years. I have recommended those to others as well and they have been happy too. I also have a hand held, but rarely use it (but works well cleaning the shower). Edit... mine does not have the "off button" like that below.... although we used those on ship when I was in the Navy. Instead of the button, mine has a lever that adjusts volume. Go to Home Depot in person and ask for the water saver shower head.... it works well. Here is one very similar to mine... and for the price you should at least try it... http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R-202812690/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053

I've got one of those above, and it puts out so much pressure that it nearly removes skin.

Most or all of the shower heads are "water conserving" Look inside the threaded end and you'll see a nylon washer/bushing flow restricter with a hole in it for the water to pass through. You can step drill this to the size you want. I removed mine completely and it performs like a good ole fashioned high pressure shower head. Also depends on your homes water pressure.

Yep. It's the LAW that new shower heads have flow restrictors.
Take it out. Drill it out. Go to an oversized hose if it's a hand held.
Home pressure had a LOT to do with it. on my well I had less than 30 PSI. Now that I tied into city water... I have over 80 usually.
My master bath shower will strip skin if you're not careful.

I've been drilling mine out for years. (I am not a plant to be misted)
When on the road, I carry a pair of channellocks to remove the shower restrictors in motel rooms.

Guys don't need to conserve water! How much water does it take for the average man-shower, anyway? Get in. While getting wet all over, have a whiz. Lather hair. Soap genitals and butt. Rinse everything off. Turn water off. What: 2 minutes, tops?

This is the one I have also. Took out the restricter plate and it will do 200+ down the back straightaway. It has enough force now, it will turn your skin a real bright red. Like real hot water does.

. . . and I thought that I was the only one. I've been dragging around my Crane shower head from place-to-place since the '60's. Yea, no kidding, since the 60's. I has HUGE flow and it's just the way I like it. And it's lasting a lifetime - so far.

Ya'll rock.....thanks. I didn't know that shower heads now have that little restictor in them. I haven't had to replace one in years. Found the restrictor....pulled straight out...easy. All's right with the world now.
