Wow. I don't mean this disrespectfully but I thought he died years ago.

By the time he was on MASH the show had succumbed to Alan Alda's heavy-handed preachiness so I don't watch it anymore, but he was terrific on Dragnet. There was a lot of subtle humor on that show that I can only fully appreciate when I watch it now.

I hate to hear that, I really liked the character he played on MASH.

The link led to another link that lists all the famous people that have died in 2011.

Some are very surprising, this one is just plain weird:

Quote
Yvette Vickers, circa 2010 (her body was discovered April 27, 2011), age 82: Best known for playing a supporting role in the 1958 sci-fi flick "Attack of the 50-Foot Woman," Vickers starred in other movies and TV shows and was Playboy magazine's July 1959 Playmate of the Month. Vickers' body was found in her Los Angeles home in 2011, but investigators say she had been dead for nearly a year.

He was around for a good many years. "Dragnet' and 'Mash' was the series he was noted for but I remember him best for his small roll in the "Shootist', John Wayne's  last and i think one of the best movies that the Duke made.

He was the town  marshall, Thibedoux, in the movie who wanted the "Shootist' to die quickly. His famous line was "What I do on your grave won't pass for flowers"  Morgan was great!

I watched M*A*S*H until AA's clueless patter drove me away. One of the funniest things I remember on TV was when a tank supposedly got away and ran over the jeep Morgan's character (Col. Potter) was driving. The Colonel, an old cavalry officer, exited the crushed jeep, looked at it, then pulled his side arm and shot it.
Funny stuff.

But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

He was also the judge in "Inheret the Wind".  The movie based on the Scopes Monkey Trial.

Always liked him.
