 cooldude cooldude cooldude cooldude cooldude

Recently there was a post stating that we should have a contest on who can find a subject that Anvil isn’t an expert on.  Well, I just want to stand up for the guy and say that even thought it was in jest, I’m pretty sure the guy was a little hurt over the subject, I know I would have been.

Put yourself in his shoes, he’s riding the best cycle ever produced, he’s the coolest on the block because of it, he’s excited for being a member of a cycle club such as this one, his wife has some nice…., well, never mind…….

Just cut the guy some slack.  I don’t know him, and yes it does seem that he’s extremely excitable in posting, lord knows he’s posted over 2700 posts since he joined this club in June of this year!!  I know what it’s like to be the kid that jumps all up and down running back and forth saying “THE CIRCUS IS COMING!!  THE CIRCUS IS COMING!!!”  some people are just happy to be coming to this website, and he’s one of ‘em.

So, Anvil, please don’t feel alienate.  I enjoy reading (some of) your posts, and look forward in meeting you in person some year.  You’re NOT like others that call the writer an idiot, or stupid, or a dumbass….. etc, etc……  well, sometimes you are, but well, they deserved it……

I’m just saying, I know how you feel.  I enjoy the hell out of these cycles, and I’m sure you do also. Enjoy, ride safe.

Wow, Anvil, I have to admit that you were right.  When you first approached me about starting that other thread, I had doubts about your claims that it would make you the most popular lad on the board in a good way and would make all your opponents slink off into the dark recesses of the board to lick their wounds.  You are a friggin' genius!  Have you mailed my check to me yet, boss?

What do you mean?  I've no sense of humor and I do just fine here.

Fun is overrated.  On the other hand, the ability to intimidate can be very useful.  Some have discovered and use that tool well.

Incidentally, the funniest things are done and said when the subjects are not trying to be so.  Smiley

Hey, I like Willow's sense of humor...very tongue in cheek and you have to look through the layers to catch it...I would say it's a very intellectual sort of humor...but if I said that, everyone would want to know how I would know about that...so now I'm all pissed off because y'all are all dissing me without even replying...quit it!!!   uglystupid2 2funny

i like to see strong opinions both ways.  let's quit this sucking up and have some spirited debate about something.  Evil Evil

i like different points of view also, i just don't want anvil to go the way of SE or BOBBO.  if you tick a guy off enough, they'll leave, then all you have is a group of guys that only agree with each other, then we'll have to turn to the "harley" guys, and they're just not worth it in my book....

Difference in opinion is one thing, but calling someone a liar who posted a video clip and made no comment other than he thought it was funny, is not voicing a difference in opinion.  I just love the ignore feature!

And, I do see that we all have different thoughts and feelings about those that take the other side of things.  I for one didn't mind Bobbo's (correct spelling) difference of opinion because, to me anyway, he did it respectfully.  Now SE, well, I just love the ignore feature!

Why does that seem to be the first place women lose it? (AKA: Right where you want it).
