Recently there was a post stating that we should have a contest on who can find a subject that Anvil isn’t an expert on. Well, I just want to stand up for the guy and say that even thought it was in jest, I’m pretty sure the guy was a little hurt over the subject, I know I would have been.
Put yourself in his shoes, he’s riding the best cycle ever produced, he’s the coolest on the block because of it, he’s excited for being a member of a cycle club such as this one, his wife has some nice…., well, never mind…….
Just cut the guy some slack. I don’t know him, and yes it does seem that he’s extremely excitable in posting, lord knows he’s posted over 2700 posts since he joined this club in June of this year!! I know what it’s like to be the kid that jumps all up and down running back and forth saying “THE CIRCUS IS COMING!! THE CIRCUS IS COMING!!!” some people are just happy to be coming to this website, and he’s one of ‘em.
So, Anvil, please don’t feel alienate. I enjoy reading (some of) your posts, and look forward in meeting you in person some year. You’re NOT like others that call the writer an idiot, or stupid, or a dumbass….. etc, etc…… well, sometimes you are, but well, they deserved it……
I’m just saying, I know how you feel. I enjoy the hell out of these cycles, and I’m sure you do also. Enjoy, ride safe.

Well I will be the first to admit that I posted on that previous post but I thought it was just a running joke. When I logged on later and found it had turned another direction and was locked by willow i didnt know it was out to hurt anyones feelings. I have never met Anvil but I do find most of his post informative and sometimes agressive but thats his opinion. I am very open and upfront and honest and tells it like it is kinda person and sometimes it gets me into trouble BUT at least you will hear the truth from me. Also we do have the mosterest awesomerest bad asserest Bikes on the Planet. Ride Safe and lets share some wind soon

I actually look forward to Anvil's posts. I'm not so closed minded that I can't read what he has to say, whether I agree with his opinion or not.
I'm amused when he plays the devil's advocate on political topics. It seems like no matter what side is presented, he takes the other side. That's a mark of a good debater.

i like to see strong opinions both ways. let's quit this sucking up and have some spirited debate about something. i like different points of view also, i just don't want anvil to go the way of SE or BOBBO. if you tick a guy off enough, they'll leave, then all you have is a group of guys that only agree with each other, then we'll have to turn to the "harley" guys, and they're just not worth it in my book.... |
