to say the wrong thing on this forum (or any forum).  I am speaking only for myself.

I am going to be a lurker and seldom post.  The Valkyrie is still the best but I no longer own one.

I'll keep in touch but I'll leave it to the VRCC riders to keep these threads interesting.

My comment about Canada's gun laws was a little over the top, so I think that I'll just read more and post less. Lips Sealed

sure hope not

We have lost too many folks who had interesting things to say and reflect back on

I really miss Gilligan and Navigator's vacation posts
Mase's pictures
Ratdog's Washington ride adventures
Rodeo1's unabashed patriotism
Black Pearl's Captain's stories of the land of no curves and his far rider adventures
and many more

If you post something that you feel is no good either hit modify and change it or delete by emailing Adm

Just my 2 cents Wayne

Come on Wayne, don't leave me out here to be slaughtered for my comments, no matter how far off center they are.

However, it is your choice, and I respect that, BUT............... cooldude

PS: to correct OSS post, you can DELETE your own posting without ADM help.

As I have done it.   Caught hell from the ones who responded, but, oh well.

You, Mark, Shiela, er Twila, Chris and his wife, forgive me, her name has went over the top of my head, and the rest of your family, have a great Christmas.

Hope ya get everything ya wished for, and then be like me if ya don't get it, you just truck right on over to the selling point and buy it.    That's the way I do.  Makes em mad, but so far they seem to get over it.  LOL   Evil

I also think people can be much too sensitive, either being offended by out of line comments or when being called out on them. I think Solo's ignoring me but I hope he sticks around.

Just went and looked at that thread. Even putting on my Canadian glasses, I didn't see anything even mildly disturbing.
Chill, dude! Your thoughts are most welcome. Comparing to some others, they are very mild.

Here are my .02 cents to the subject, I think you should have the right to say (within context) what you feel and if it is to volatile or hostile our good old Admin folks are great for refereeing the fight.  cooldude
As has been stated many times before if you do not like a posting just ignore it or for that matter speak thy mind, but no one should take offense to a post unless they are personally attacked (ref to above, Admin) folks need to get a tougher skin. I for one hate political posts and do not think they should be in the main forum, but not my say, so I tend not even to look at them, and if something offends me or whatever I will either speak my mind of it or ignore it in the future.
Wayne if you leave many of your thoughts and great insights will be lost to us.

Again just my .02 cents….

Thanks for the kind words, everyone.

You've all heard of the GNP (Gross National Product).

I have GRP.  That's Guns, Religion, Politics.  No one will change my mind on any of the three, and i will  avoid getting into a discussion about any of them.

With that said,  I'm back, just not as much. (that didn't sound right).  Oh well, I'm a lefty so I must still be in my right mind. Smiley

Dont aim to change your mind at all,it's your decision.            I say the wrong thing all the dang time on here and sometimes I dont even intend for it to be wrong !  Every one gets a chance to hear me stick my foot in my mouth....I figure it is more fair to those that have already heard me do so.

You do it a whole lot less than a lot of the rest of us!  cooldude

One thing I've learned from the recent Advil bashing/worshiping posts is that you'll never please everyone.  I knew this before hand, and never worried about pleasing everyone.

Wayne, I for one, and many others on this forum, respect your opinions and your experience.  I may or may not agree with your views and opinions, but like you and several others on this board, I served to insure your right to voice them.  Please continue to do so.  I don't use the ignore feature, but I do just decide what I will read and what I will not.  I encourage everyone to post what they feel, there are plenty that may disagree, but that's what makes the world go 'round.  It wouldn't be the same without you.

Wayne, if you feel the need, send me a PM about GRP, I know for a fact that you won't offend me. You & RJ and the others with the good rememberers certainly hit a soft spot with me. The Valkyrie has been a friend maker for me, but many of the New England group have moved on to bikes that are still being manufactured and/or own multiple machines. Somehow it just doesn't matter whenever we manage to get together. Same on this board. I would miss your input.

Something I always tried to drill into my kids heads was "Engage brain, before running mouth".

Yeah, I know, I don't always do that, but I think it is still pretty good advice.

Stick around old timer, ya'll is a stickin me out here in da cold with no one to cover my back.     I've always tried to keep yours covered.   However, Mark and Chris really did a good job 99.9% of the time.

If you don't stick around, the only one left for me to pick on is fudgie.   Admin will get on my case if I pick too hard on others.   I say Okay and move on down the road when they do.

I run the Chevy Trike about 15 miles today and boy is my old bones lettin me know they got cold.     I ain't had aches like this since I left Korea August 9, 1952 in a body cast on a flim flam aircraft with cots lining the exterior wall.   My nose was like 3" from the guy above me.   Now that is a nice ride to the states.  We stopped twice for fuel, I think the 1st stop was Guam and the 2nd one was Hawaii, then into Edwards Air Base to await another plane to take me to the Naval Hospital in the Great Lakes.    Oh, our high today was 21.   Right now it is 8* ABOVE.   They say tomorrow it is supposed to get up to 40 and then I think it was Tuesday, we are to get another snow storm.    This one they predicted 4" for was lucky to be .75"     Mom pushed the fluffy stuff off the driveway with a shop broom.    Sometime I'll write about the body cast removal.   That was a real nightmare.   All I'll say is I cussed like a drunken sailor.

Yeah, it's really a pain to get old,  RJ.

I've just had cataract surgery and that turned out well. I only need glasses for reading now. I've bought a new set of hearing aids and they seem to work but need additional programming.  I'm seeing the doc for another problem and that should be ok by Christmas.

I need to put the charger on the Vstrom, probably today.  Doesn't look like much of a chance to ride, 14 degrees this AM.  Now it's motorcycle related. cooldude

It's time to be off to the fitness center, gotta keep going. I just took an Excedrin to lessen my aches.
Like I said, not easy being Green,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Uh, I mean old! Cheesy
