Just getting home from visiting him and dinner with mom

He had a few tests today, the kind where you cant eat since midnite and they seem to be negative

Docs are sure he has staph but cant figure out where it is.  His temp and bp are now under control.

He had that stuff that dave barry talks about in his colonoscopy story last nite and is feeling a bit better now

Says if he knew what today was like he might not have tried so hard to hang in there but
he was smiling when he said it

He is moving his left arm ok and the right one a little bit. He can feel his legs now

We are all so overwhelmed at the number of prayers and calls and PM's they mean a lot

I cancelled my plane ticket for vacation sunday and will be doin the take mom to the hospital and back routine while Bonnie and Alana enjoy Cancun. There will be other vacations down the line.

Bonnie has shown me how to make green smoothies with all kinds of good stuff in them and thats
what he has been mostly drinking since Monday, One thing obvious to me is hospitals know nothing about nutrition at all. They are no place for sick people.
Keep those prayers and good wishes coming.

We will do the same

OZZ....i took care of my POP the last 6 years of his life, and cancer was the culprit that finally took him away.   let me tell you something.....dad caught staph while in the hospital recovering from leg surgery, and had alot of the problems that your POP is going through, but...believe me, with alot of love, prayer, and good care he will make it through these tough times.  there is alot to be said about our dads.....they had it hard growing-up, they knew what it took to perservire, and they were one tough bunch.  we are very lucky to have dads like this.  i will keep saying prayers for your POP, and for you and your family, John.

Oss, that's good news about your Dad. Hope his recovery is complete and speedy.

I'm fighting a staph infection in my knee following knee replacement surgery - its a tough row to hoe. Tell your Dad to hang in there and keep on fighting!
