What's with the little door on the left side? And what's the venting like? I just bought a G-Max like that with a snap in chin piece, convertible full face (but shiny, and no Honda logo).

I have a HJC IS-Max. It is a similar modular model. It has the drop down sun shield. I wear glasses and got tired of switching to my sunglasses all the time. I really like the convenience of having the shield. The description says 3 posistions. I thought it meant you could put it at 3 levels to block the sun. But the 3 levels are up down and extended. Extended is where you put it to remove the shield to change them out. So just be aware that there aren't really 3 posistions. They make an amber "High Def" shield. I have one but haven't tried it yet. Also, sometimes it just barely touches my nose, but that is a minor complaint.
