I got a call today that my second oldest brother passed away today.
He was born in 1948. He started as a deckboy in 1963 and became a Captain in 1979 and have hold that position until 2007 when he started working with Norwegian Maritime Directorate.
He had the same passion for motorcycles as me. He rode a Harley Davidson Dynaglide 1450 (100 year anniversary model) RIP

I am deeply saddened to read this, Dag.  The story you told sounds like he was the one who inspired you to get your Valkyrie.  Your family is fortunate to have you.  I hope you find comfort in that.  I'm so sorry for your loss.

Rejoyce in the memories that you shared together.  Remember only the good times, the laughs, the rides, and the comradery that only brothers have for one another.  My heart goes out to you, my friend...Jim Lynch

Dag,
I do not know you outside of what I’ve had the pleasure to read from you or about you here on this site.  What I do know is that the loss of those we love can hurt to the core of our sole.  And in so having suffered similar loss I do in fact pray that you and yours, as well as your brother’s family find a peace and comfort as you reflect upon him.  That those reflections always remain clear and cherished memories.  I am sorry for your loss.

My deepest condolences to your family.

He was diagnosed with leukemia a few months ago. He was back at work two weeks ago, but got pneumonia. Pneumonia is serious when the immune system is severely weakened.
We knew that the disease was dangerous, but no one was prepared for it to go so fast.
I know that he does not want us to be in grieving, so instead I think of the good times we had.

Thank to all of you for sympathy you show.
