The Harley Batwing Inner Fairing arrived Saturday.  After a nice long ride Sunday, I pulled the Valk into the lower garage and removed the windshield, the front turn signals, the speedo and tach and the windshield brackets.  I set the inner fairing in place to see how it was going to line up.  The speedo and tach fit into the holes in the fairing perfectly.  While I have the guages out I will replace a burnt out light in the tach.  I will move the three lights on top of the headlight up into the fairing as well.  I will also run 12 guage wire from the battery to the fairing and install an accessory buss for lights etc. with relays.  The fairing is 13 inches wide where it needs to be bolted on so I will cut the windshield brackets to the proper width, weld them up and reinstall them so the inner fairing will bolt directly to the brackets.  The outer fairing should be here this week and I can get it in position to see how I need to modify it to fit around the headlight.  I might have to move the light forward a little to make it easier.  Unless something unforseen pops up this should be an easy and straight forward install.  I will take pics to record all the fun I will have!

One more year and I think you will slide a Harley in the garage.

Next to the Valk and maybe who knows a convert.

In the making.

I don't want to buy a harley headlight if I can keep from it.  I will see if I can take a cutting tool and open the hole in the fairing for the Valk headlight.  I had to make it larger when I did it to the vulcan I had.  it worked just fine.
