On the ride to work Tuesday morning there is a construction area, replacing a bridge.  Stopped at the foot of the bridge at the traffic light making a left turn onto a fairly new piece of roadway, been driving this same stretch of road everyday on the way to work.  Apparently they managed to cover the entire road about a foot wide with flat river rock looking gravel.  Still in the turn rear end comes around about as quick as I can think WTH she lays down enough that the left peg drags and the road pulls my boot off the peg, trapped it under the bike, then the bike gets traction pops back up straighten her out and motor on to work.  Now my knee hurts.  This morning on the way in blue lights in the road on the approach to the bridge.  Found out there was a head on collision with fatality.  If I hadn't put the saw in the garage and turned off some lights I might have been in the middle of that.
