Our cat used to go all "frozen in time" too. Had to stare Really close to see if she was still breathing. Would scare the  hell out of the dog when it went to sniff her.

we used to have a practical joker of a cat, she'd walk into the room sit down lick a paw and then just stare at a spot on the wall. she would stare until one of us got up went over and looked at the wall in question and say 'what?'

then you'd turn to look at her she'd be licking a paw again,....... snickering

one time we didn't bite, she stared at the wall for like 1/2 hour, then left in a huff 2funny 2funny
