Avon tire ques.

Whtywere the Avon Venoms discontined? Are the Cobras suppose to be better? If so in what way?

I believe I'm seeing somewhat improved mileage with the cobras... riding style,
attention to tire pressure, other variables could have something to do with it too, though...

THE Cobra replaced the Venom last year.

Cobra's are susposed to last longer.

I didn't have any luck mileage wise with the rear (Venom or Cobra).

I did like the grip they just didn't last very long.

I got good mileage out of the first front tire (Venom) so far so good with the second one (Cobra) only time will tell how long it lasts.

I just replaced my tires with the Cobras. They feel great so far(about 50 miles) had a venom on the front. Lasted 22,000 miles.
Rear died after 5000 with two nails(still had a lot of tread, but two flats?). Had a donflop on the rear that only lasted 16,000.
I guess that wasn't too bad.
Hopeful that I'll get that kind of mileage from the Cobras.
